Welcome to Valley Visions Photography!!
I'm conveniently located about 30 miles south of La Crosse, Wisconsin just south of Westby. I have an indoor studio and access to several farms for outdoor sessions. I do a lot of sessions on location, as well. I believe in capturing life as it happens, and doing natural, relaxed portraits that capture the spirit of the moment. I love combining text with images, doing black and whites with emotion, and having people walk away saying they just can't pick because they love them all. I also belong to several state photography associations and attend continuing education courses regularly to stay on top of the latest trends and innovations in photography.
This site will allow you to preview your portraits, visit my portrait showcase and/or purchase prints or gifts. I'm available for natural portraiture, freelance photography and writing assignments. My work has been published locally, state-wide, and in "Family Fun" magazine, "The Vernon County Tourism Guide - 2006", "Visitor Magazine" in Hayward, WI and "Women in the Outdoors." My prints have also been displayed in galleries in Wisconsin and Minnesota. I've attended professional training through the PPA and MAIPP, and recently won a scholarship at our State WPPA Convention to attend training at Treehaven Photography School. I was also one of a few in the state who received the 4 day Learning Experience package to train with some of the top photographic artists in the state. Infant Bereavement Photography: Sad, but a fact of life...so many families lose an infant at birth or soon after. I belong to the non-profit organization "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep," and offer a sensitive, private photo session of the family with the infant as a way to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirits of their lives. I will come to the hospital, set up a room there for the session, and capture your final images together. This service is completely free, and the family will receive a CD of images and a DVD set to music. This site offers tips on what to say to grieving families and shows samples of what can be done to honor the memory of the child.
